Old Public Information films and my songs. Well, my remixes actually. Here’s a video I made for my remix of Khartomb’s Cabbage & Kings, using and edit from “Charley’s March of Time”, a British Public Information film from 1948 by Halas and Batchelor.
One-time Peel Sessions band Khartomb have come out of musical retirement to record some new songs. Their new EP Shut it Down/Cabbages & Kings features two of those songs, plus mixes by The Only Michael and remixes by me! I’m proud to be involved in a compilation album called “Salford Streets” which aims to draw attention to the plight of the homeless, and raise valuable funds for the Emmaus facility in Salford, UK. The album features new music from 35 bands and musicians from Salford and surrounding areas of Manchester, Bolton, and further afield, and included my track “Half Past One“.
