I’ve taken the difficult decision to close my Beatstars account and store this time next month (April 2021), so all my beats at beatstars.com/mistrust are now available at reduced prices. I no longer have the time to make beats for rappers & producers/artist on a regular basis, hence the decision to close the account.
I’ve found it really difficult to do the promotion to generate any sales or licensing on the platform, in other words, I still haven’t made any sales 🙄.. If any producers, rappers, and artists out there are looking for beats, head over to my beatstars page and get some new beats before I close my beats store for good!!!
The good news (for some!) is that I’m continuing to make new music! I’ve just bought an AKAI MPK Mini Play MK3 MIDI keyboard with built-in speakers (check out my unboxing video here), and making some new songs.
You can listen to some of my old songs on my main MistrustMusic website, as well as Bandcamp, Soundcloud, and more!
The French dub and reggae radio station CultureDub are going to play our new single “New Age – “Mistrust Remix” on their next radio show ! Culture Dub is the first Strictly Dub radio show created in 2002 on Radio Pulsar. The Culture Dub Radio Show goes out every Tuesday 9.00 p.m – 11.00 p.m, and is hosted by AlexDub, accompanied by the Culture Dub team, live on 95.9FM (in France) and on www.radio-pulsar.org
The next show will be going out on Tuesday November 30, 2021 (next week!). It’s great to have been selected for airplay on such as great website.
You can listen to Culture Dub on their radio player by clicking this link here:
The Culture Dub website also features news, announcements, events and reviews, relating to dub music. It’s a great website and well-recommended. It’s worth noting that the website is written in French, so you might need to translate it, if you don’t speak French!
It’s another Bandcamp Friday, which means that today, all labels and artists on bandcamp are forwarded 100% of the money they make via the platform. Therefore I’d like to encourage to look at my catalog and see if there’s something you’ve been thinking to get, and support independent music!
A few years ago, I did a DJ set at an event at work and because my job involved a certain virtual learning platform, every called me “DJ Blackboard” (geddit? DJ Blackboard sounds like DJ Blackburn, as in Blackburn my surname!) I’ve still got the tracks I played, but so far DJ Blackboard has yet to have a mix on the internet.
Until Today! Here is a short mix of some of the tracks on “Everyday, Everyday – The Mistrust Remixes” now playing on Mixcloud:
Buy the way – look out for the full album of mistrust remixes on Bandcamp here.
